Leaving… On a SpaceShip

The whole Jet Plane thing seemed a bit to cliche at the moment…

Well after lots of interviews I have good news. I was offered jobs to go to Japan by both NOVA and Aeon. I was floored! Two job offers in less than a week. Although I got the NOVA offer first, I was much happier to receive the Aeon offer. Not to say anything bad about NOVA but they just did not give much information other the “we’d like to hire you.” When Amanda from Aeon called, she gave me all the details I could imagine… in fact here’s a little preview

Location: Nagoya

Departure Date: Feb. 23rd 2007

Students: 60-70% businessmen, 15% college students, and n% other

20-25 minute commute

255,000 JPY pay per month

42,000 JPY fixed monthly rent (and for a big city… that’s hot)

Yeah, I heard all that and very quickly provisionally accepted the offer. I should have an offer packet coming in the mail very soon that will finalize the offer. I’m a bit overly excited about al of it actually… Especially the going away parties… I won’t be able to feel feelings…

I’m also going to be writing a couple of narrative non-fiction pieces about my trips. I ran into a few things which stimulated creativity.
