Two Weeks
Well I am now on the final Japan countdown. Two weeks left in Nagoya. In all I’ve enjoyed my stay here, but I will also be very happy to be home where I can read things. Also, being able to talk at normal speed all the time will be a great feeling. I’m pretty sure I might treat people like they have brain damage for the first few days though… I’m so used to using “classroom English” to give any kind of explanation.
Now, of course, things boil down to – What comes next…
First – Get back to Grand Junction. Then relax for a couple of days. After that I need a job… Yay… Actually I look forward to another job. I have nothing against working, but I do enjoy being lazy.
Everything after first – I’ll probably stay in GJ for at least 8-10 months. I need to resettle down, get some more money, those sorts of things. If you read my last entry and the comments, you will also see that my friend Ty has invited me to go out East with he and Josie. Right now out East looks to be Boston.
As pointed out by Ty, Boston has things like lots of universities and jobs. I really want to continue my education at some point in the sooner than later future. So, moving out there after I have some capital together may be a good idea. I generally dislike cities, but I think living in Nagoya has finally broken me of a lot of that.
Now I mostly just hate living in cities where I can’t read a sign to save my life. (luckily things like subway signs are in English… most of the time)
So… Next spring, if I have money, and I have have friends in a nice little center of American intellectualism, I may just find myself wandering out again.
Luckily, Japan has taught me that wandering off to new things is not bad. Not only that, but if you plan well, wandering can be profitable. Although the whole part of moving is not exactly cheap or fun. But the adventure, the adventure is always worth the trouble, even if it does not go exactly as planned. And exploring a side of America if I have been mostly alienated from might be a good change. That and I would go to it with friends.
The future. I look forward to what it may bring.

What? I’m so totally confused. All of a sudden it’s over? How long was your contract for? You haven’t given us much in the way of posts from Japan, and now you are coming home? Whassup wit dat?
Yeah, I’ve missed some updates… But I’m actually catching up on my other site (slowly).
I’ll send you an email with all the details of the what and why of the situation.
