More Zombies
I am now 1/2 to 2/3 done with the Zombie Survival Guide. So far there has been a plethora of useful information for combating the evil undead. And for those of you who think I take zombies a little too seriously, consider this;
What is worse than a total zombie apocalypse? Is it taking you awhile to think of something worse than your friends and loved ones now wandering the streets with the only thought left being of eating you alive? Yeah, I thought so. There is very little that would be worse than that sort of event. Thus, by preparing yourself for this eventuality you will be ready for pretty much anything else.
So the next time nature decides to take bloody revenge on you, or some militia decides it’s time to declare war you might have a different opinion. After all, you will be fleeing in a dazed panic. I will be calmly getting my supply pack on and heading to any number of preplanned safe locations to sit the ordeal out.
But, back to the book…
I have become more impressed with the book as I have continued reading. It does make some errors with weapons and certain tactics, but Brooks does state he is not an expert in every field, this is just a survival primer. I like that. He always points out that you should do further research and study on wilderness survival, chemicals, dangers… basically anything you would need to know or avoid in the event of any major collapse of society.
Once again though, he discounts the quick dead. Any comprehensive guide to avoiding the zombie apocalypse should at least account for the possibility.
If you need me, I’ll be out back sharpening my machete and making a log of viable seed storage facilities for reference.

I do appreciate a fellow homo-sapiens attempts at being prepared for the inevitable uprising of the flesh-guzzlers. I do hope that if the world is overrun by zombies before our deaths, that we will both team up for the effort of human survival.
Wonderful book, by the way. I hope you enjoy the whole thing.

Bah, I forgot to reply to you over the holiday!
Indeed, if it comes to a class 3 or 4 outbreak we should get our teams together. Depending on where I am at the time I have friends who have got the guns/ammo problem solved. I just need to figure out who I can force to begin stockpiling food and other resources…
