My Logic Worries People – Part 1 – The Zombies
More and more I learn that the way I think might diverge from the way other people think. Mostly I learned that when you joke about what movies and video games have taught you about life, most people do not make the same one-to-one connection that, say, me and my friends do. So, instead of making any attempt to change my thinking, I will be writing several articles to detail the more extreme logical disconnects. If nothing else, these should give you plenty of ammunition to use in an effort to make your own co-workers uncomfortable.
1. The Zombies Are Coming
Science is advancing at a rapid pace. The sort of pace that could get out of hand. Being that a lot of interest is being directed toward genetic and pharmaceutical research, we may reach only one logical conclusion. That is, that once something goes wrong with this science, the most likely outcome is clearly zombies.
At least that is the conclusion I reach. Apparently most people outside of my immediate group of friends do not have the same conclusion about science.
But really, with the overwhelming evidence from movies and games, can we deny this inevitable fate? Eventually, we or nature will make the leap from trying to kill each other little pieces of metal or viruses to simply killing each other with our own dead friends and relatives. Also, if you happen to be part of military regime with a strong focus on the occult (*Cough* Nazis *cough, cough*) you have rather high odds of simply digging up the wrong grave and releasing evil undead doom. However, the average person just fails to make this rather obvious connection.
I have also written about the fact that, even if the zombies are not on their way, you should probably still prepare like they are. But I will not re-hash those points here.
Have you had any situations where you could not make your friends or fellow wage slaves understand the impending doom by zombie?
