So, I have come to realize that while I do occasional post about what search engine traffic I get I do not consistently name the posts. I’m not going to go back and change anything, but from now on the naming and labeling will at least approach order.

And, for those with any interest, here is the list of the previous articles about what I get from “The Google.”

Interesting Searches

Two New Search Terms

What Google Sends Me

Oddly enough I am getting a growing number of hits from the search term “Google Transition” (which I did write a post about). I never really intended it to do more than amuse me, but apparently it is reasonable popular to click on. I may do some more work in this area so people who do happen upon this post have more to read.

The other term which is less popular, but performs better for bounce rate and length of stay, is “how to teach English.” Being that I was a teacher for a short time, this does make sense. What I really need to do is write more in this area. I also enjoy writing about it anyway, I just get lazy and forget to follow up with actual writing.

After a very short debate – the time it took me to read one post on the subject – I am now a DoFollow blog. I am currently using the Semiologic Dofollow plugin for Wordpress that totally removes the nofollow attributes from comments.

I have always hated nofollow as a blogger. When you regularly visit, comment, and contribute to communities it is nice to get a little link juice back. Especially when you are commenting on blogs you don’t write about except for comments. I don’t want to take up any space on their blogroll since my website isn’t related to theirs. The same goes for people who comment on my blogs.

there are many plug-ins that accomplish the same thing, and many that have more control options. the Semiologic version just a quick simple fix though. So, stop by and comment, you’ll get all the link love you need!

And just to start sharing regular link love – I found the plug-in over at Toast & Egg & Me

I realize that I tend to be lazy and do things on a schedule that probably only makes sense to myself… So I am working to correct that by establishing regular posts that I will do for specific days!

I did one Monday music post, and while I am stealing the idea from my friend (who does Friday Music at his blog) I like it. So each Monday there will be a music video to entertain you. Besides, I like watching music videos, so I get to kill two birds with one stone.

The second regular post will be that something to help push us through the week. I will start putting up images that caught my attention each Wednesday. Most will be humor related, but I have already noticed a few in the mix that are just things I enjoyed.

Over this weekend I will probably be able to get at least one month, probably two, prepared so that no matter how hard I slack during the week the posts will be ready.

So look forward to seeing

Luckily these are actually relevant. I have both Powerthrist videos up and I posted a video of some pretty amazing Space Art being done with Spray Paint Cans.

You can see the posts here
PowerThirst
Spray Can Space Art

However I still no longer come up in the first page of results in searches for “Chris Schaffer“. Some other guy with a slightly different spelling comes up currently. It kind of pisses me off that Google has decided to put up a pages for alternative spellings of my last name on the first page.

I still come up on page two of Chris Schaffer searches, but I look forward to attempting to get back to number one for the proper spelling.
